For Thickening (Optional)
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch Arrowroot can be a healthier substitute.
  • 2 tbsp Water
For Garnishing
  • 2 tbsp Sesame Seeds
  • 2 tbsp Chopped Green Onions

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Lightly season the chicken with salt and black pepper.
  2. In a bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, ketchup, minced garlic, grated ginger, and vinegar.
  3. Place seasoned chicken in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over it.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
  5. To thicken the sauce, mix cornstarch and water in a bowl and stir into the sauce. Cook for an additional 10-15 minutes.
  6. Return chicken to the sauce and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
