  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic or garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp Oyster Sauce or hoisin sauce as substitute
  • 1 tbsp Sugar or Honey or maple syrup

Step-by-Step Instructions for Chicken Lo Mein
  1. Gather all ingredients. Chop bell peppers, carrots, and green onions. Cook lo mein noodles until al dente, about 4-5 minutes, then drain and rinse under cold water.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high and add sesame oil. Sauté chicken strips for 6-8 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken and keep warm.
  3. In the same skillet, add sesame oil and stir-fry bell peppers, carrots, and green onions for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  4. Return the chicken to the skillet along with lo mein noodles. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar or honey. Toss gently for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with extra green onions and drizzled with extra soy sauce if desired.
