Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine 8 ounces of softened cream cheese, 1 cup of powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons of fresh orange zest, and 1 tablespoon of fresh orange juice. Beat until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Melt 1 cup of white chocolate chips over low heat in a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler, stirring frequently until smooth.
- Pour the cooled melted white chocolate into the creamy base and mix gently. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and blend until thick and smooth.
- Cover and chill the mixture in the refrigerator for about 1-2 hours until firm.
- Once chilled, scoop out bite-sized portions and roll into balls. Place on a parchment-lined tray.
- Optionally, melt orange candy melts and dip each truffle, allowing excess to drip off, then return to the tray to set for 15-20 minutes.
- Decorate with grated orange zest, powdered sugar, or candied orange peel before serving.

Notes
For best results, use fresh ingredients and allow cream cheese to soften at room temperature before mixing. Customize with different zests or fruit juices if desired.
