Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine lukewarm milk, egg, and melted butter. Whisk together until smooth, about 1-2 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, sugar, and instant yeast until fully combined.
- Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture, stirring gently until a slightly sticky dough forms.
- Transfer the dough to a lightly oiled bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for 1.5 to 2 hours.
- Turn the risen dough onto a floured surface and roll it to about ¼ inch thickness.
- Using a round cutter, cut out donuts from the rolled dough and place them on parchment paper.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan to between 170-180°C (340-360°F).
- Carefully add donuts to the hot oil in small batches, frying each side for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- In a chilled bowl, combine heavy whipping cream with sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.
- Cut each donut in half horizontally and optionally spread condensed milk on the inner side.
- Using a piping bag, fill the cooled donuts with the whipped cream mixture and dust with powdered sugar.
