Step-by-Step Instructions for Apple Bread
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8 x 5 inch loaf pan by greasing it.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together ½ cup of brown sugar and 1½ teaspoons of ground cinnamon until combined.
  3. In a larger bowl, crack in 2 large eggs and add ½ cup of granulated sugar. Whisk until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Gently fold in ½ cup of melted butter and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Add 1½ cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, ½ teaspoon of baking soda, and ¼ teaspoon of salt; stir gently until combined.
  6. Fold in the 2 cups of chopped apples, ensuring they're evenly distributed in the batter.
  7. Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan and sprinkle three-quarters of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over it.
  8. Add the remaining batter on top and finish with the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture, swirling it into the batter.
  9. Bake for 35-45 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
