Preparation Steps
- In a food processor, combine about 8 ounces of cold-smoked salmon with 8 ounces of softened cream cheese. Blend on medium speed for 1-2 minutes until smooth.
- Pour in 1/4 cup of heavy cream and the juice of half a lemon. Blend for another 1-2 minutes until airy and fluffy.
- Fold in 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh dill, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Blend briefly to combine.
- Transfer the mousse to a mixing bowl, gently folding with a spatula.
- Spoon the mixture into serving dishes, smoothing the top for presentation.
- Cover tightly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to chill and set.
- Garnish with additional dill or slices of smoked salmon before serving. Enjoy with crackers, bread, or cucumber slices.
