  • 8 ounces Smoked Salmon cold-smoked for best flavor
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup Heavy Cream optional for lower-fat version
  • 1/2 piece Fresh Lemon Juice juice from half a lemon
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Dill finely chopped, or substitute with chives
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a food processor, combine about 8 ounces of cold-smoked salmon with 8 ounces of softened cream cheese. Blend on medium speed for 1-2 minutes until smooth.
  2. Pour in 1/4 cup of heavy cream and the juice of half a lemon. Blend for another 1-2 minutes until airy and fluffy.
  3. Fold in 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh dill, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Blend briefly to combine.
  4. Transfer the mousse to a mixing bowl, gently folding with a spatula.
  5. Spoon the mixture into serving dishes, smoothing the top for presentation.
  6. Cover tightly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to chill and set.
  7. Garnish with additional dill or slices of smoked salmon before serving. Enjoy with crackers, bread, or cucumber slices.
