- In a large pot, boil water with salt. Add fettuccine noodles and cook 10-12 minutes until al dente. Reserve a cup of pasta water. Drain and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- Whisk in Parmesan cheese until melted. If too thick, add reserved pasta water to adjust consistency. Season the sauce.
- Add fettuccine noodles to the sauce and toss gently to coat. If needed, add more pasta water for creaminess.
- Slice chicken and place on top of fettuccine. Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan. Serve warm.
