Ingredients
  

For the Potatoes
  • 4 medium Potatoes Can use sweet potatoes for a twist.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Or other cooking oil.
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black Pepper Freshly ground recommended.
For the Beef or Alternative
  • 500 grams Lean Beef Mince Or use ground turkey or plant-based mince.
For the Salad
  • 2 cups Shredded Lettuce Any salad greens can work.
  • 1 cup Cheese Opt for dairy-free cheese for vegan.
  • 1 cup Pickle Slices Optional for added crunch.
For the Special Sauce
  • ½ cup Mayonnaise Can swap for plant-based mayo.
  • 2 tablespoons Ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Mustard (Dijon or Yellow)
  • 1 tablespoon Pickle Juice Optional.
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika Regular paprika works if preferred.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Fresh garlic can be used.
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder Fresh onions can be substituted.
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano or Mixed Herbs Fresh herbs can be used.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a small bowl, combine the spice mix ingredients: smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper to taste.
  2. Wash and cut the medium potatoes into chips or wedges, then toss with olive oil and half of the spice mix.
  3. Preheat air fryer to 200°C (390°F) or oven to 220°C (425°F). Cook seasoned potatoes until crispy and golden brown, about 20 minutes.
  4. In a frying pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add lean beef mince, breaking it apart, and cook until browned. Stir in the remaining spice mix.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle juice, garlic powder, and smoked paprika, then mix until smooth.
  6. Assemble the bowls by layering crispy potatoes, shredded lettuce, seasoned beef, cheese, pickle slices, and drizzling with special sauce.
