- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan with melted unsalted butter.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine whole milk, vanilla extract, and granulated sugar. Whisk until smooth.
- Add all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon to the wet mixture. Mix until just combined.
- Spoon the batter evenly over the melted butter in the baking pan. Do not stir.
- Sprinkle brown sugar over the top, then carefully pour hot water evenly over the ingredients.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown on top with a slightly jiggly center.
- Mix granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl. Sprinkle over the hot cobbler immediately after removing from the oven.
