Preparation Steps
  1. Start by placing the eggs gently in a pot and cover them with cold water. Bring to a boil, then cover and let sit for 12 minutes.
  2. Transfer the boiled eggs into an ice water bath for about 10 minutes.
  3. Gently crack and peel the eggs under cool running water.
  4. Slice each peeled egg in half and mash yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  5. Divide the yolk mixture into bowls and add black and orange food coloring to achieve desired shades.
  6. Fill the egg white halves with the colored yolk mixture using a spoon or piping bag.
  7. Decorate with halved olives for spiders and use chives for spider legs.
  8. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.
