- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- Melt ½ cup of unsalted butter and mix with 1 cup granulated sugar and 1.5 cups all-purpose flour until crumbly. Reserve a third for topping.
- Beat 8 oz of softened cream cheese until smooth, add 1 large egg, and the remaining sugar. Fold in 1 cup of cranberries and 1 tbsp orange zest.
- Spread the cheesecake filling over the crumb base and dollop the reserved cranberry on top, swirling to create a marbled effect.
- Sprinkle the reserved crumb mixture over the top and bake for 50 minutes until edges are browned. Center may jiggle slightly.
- Cool on a wire rack for about 1 hour, then refrigerate for at least 3 hours before slicing.
