- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x9-inch baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, packed brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon. Add melted unsalted butter and mix until crumbly.
- Peel and chop Granny Smith apples into ¼-inch thick slices. Mix with granulated or brown sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, salt, and cinnamon.
- Spread the apple mixture into the baking dish. Sprinkle crumble topping evenly over apples.
- Bake for 35 to 45 minutes until the topping is golden brown and apples are bubbling.
- Allow to cool for 15 minutes before serving.
