Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking dish.
  2. Toast pecan pieces in a skillet over medium heat for 4-5 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Chop and prepare the apple pieces, aiming for about 1 cup.
  4. Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add beaten egg into the butter mixture and mix until combined.
  6. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon; gradually add to the butter mixture.
  7. Fold in the chopped apples and toasted pecans gently.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and level the top.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Allow brownies to cool for 15-30 minutes before slicing into squares.
